Our Programs

Faith-Based Beginnings For
PreK 3 and Kinderbound

Our PreK 3 and Kinderbound (PreK 4) programs are designed to provide a seamless educational journey rooted in faith and holistic development. PreK 3 immerses young learners in engaging, play-based activities that spark curiosity and build essential skills. Kinderbound then builds on this foundation, emphasizing independence, critical thinking, and problem-solving to prepare children for kindergarten. Both programs are infused with Christian teachings, nurturing each child's spiritual growth alongside their academic and social development, ensuring they thrive in a loving and supportive environment.

Key Learning Areas

At Little Lights Academy, we focus on nine key learning areas to prepare your child for a successful educational future. Our comprehensive approach ensures development across essential domains, guided by Christian values. Each area fosters growth and learning, creating a nurturing environment where children thrive and build the skills and confidence needed for their academic journey and beyond.

Introduce key Biblical stories, learning about God’s love and kindness through fun, age-appropriate activities. This helps them understand and embrace Christian values early on.

Develop early literacy skills by identifying letters, creating rhyming words, retelling stories, understanding print concepts, singing rhyming songs, and learning nursery rhymes.

Enhance mathematical understanding through counting, identifying numbers, matching objects to their corresponding numbers, recognizing shapes, and creating patterns.

Foster cognitive development by promoting experimentation, inquiry, observation, and exploration through play, increasing curiosity, and developing persistence and attention span.

Strengthen language skills by engaging in conversations with adults and peers, listening to and following multi-step directions, and overall language development.

Cultivate social and emotional skills by taking turns, identifying emotions, learning calming strategies including prayer, beginning to resolve conflicts independently in a Christian manner, and developing a love of learning.

Support physical growth by writing and copying letters, shapes, and numbers, holding a pencil correctly, hopping on one foot, running in a straight line, and modeling healthy eating habits. This includes washing hands before and after meals and medication, with opportunities for teeth brushing as desired by parents. Staff members also adhere to strict hygiene practices during food handling, diaper changes, and cleaning.

Introduce social studies concepts by identifying community helpers, understanding the fruits of the spirit, learning about money, and recognizing the concept of a physical address.
